Perma Guard - Pet and Animal Natural Pesticide based on Fossil Shell Flour®

Your best friends come in all shapes and sizes. Protect them with Perma-Guard! Effective against fleas, ticks, lice, and other pests on pet dogs, cats, their premises, and other warm-blooded animals subject to these parasites.

Perma-Guard Pet & Animal product is to be used in and around the home, yard, animal housing, etc. It can be applied as a dry dust, or mixed as a solution for lawns.

Dry Application

Cover the affected area with Perma-Guard Pet & Animal Powder at the rate of 8 oz. to 16 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft.

Fleas, Ticks, and Lice

For flea control on your pets apply the powder to the animals coat and work it in to the skin. If the animal licks itself it will not be harmed as the product is non poisionous.

Lightly work the material into the hair of the animal. A light, even dusting is all that is necessary [more is not better]. Use brush or comb to work the material down to the skin. Pay strict attention to places where the animal cannot reach, such as the scalp. Dust the ears of the animal with care to avoid dusting the inner ear canal. Dust the animal's bedding and areas where the animal sleeps, as well as cracks and crevices adjacent to them. Repeat once a month or as necessary to kill fleas that hatch 7-10 days after first application. The product only kills hatched fleas, it does not kill existing eggs. Individual ticks observed on the animal should be dusted thoroughly.

Premise Application

For animals confined to a specific area infested with fleas and ticks, dust the entire area with Perma-Guard Pet & Animal Powder.

Large Application Areas

We suggest you use the Spritzer or the Dustin-Mizer for application over large areas. At the time you fertize your yard you can add 16 oz Perma-Guard Pet & Animal Powder per 1000 feet. Dust thoroughly the first time and then periodically reapply as needed.

Wet Application

Mix with water at the rate of 2 oz. per quart of water (one oz. is about 8 level teaspoons). To help keep it in suspension, add one teaspoon of mild detergent and agitate the sprayer now and then while applying. The sprayer apparatus people commonly use that attaches to your garden hose for fertilizer applications will work perfectly.

Re-infestation

Prevent re-infestation by keeping Perma-Guard Pet & Animal Powder in the pet or animal's coat as a repellent.

Perma Guard - Garden and Plant Natural Pesticide based on Fossil Shell Flour®

For control of ants, cockroaches, fleas, mites, aphids, whitefly, beetles, loopers, mites, leaf hoppers, and others! For use in the greenhouse or outdoors on fruits, vegetables, flowers, grains and grass--up to and including day of harvest.

This is a fully patented process developed to bond pyrethrum to diatomaceous earth by scientists in the U.S. Diatoms are microscopic skeletal remains of tiny algae plants that lived on earth millions of years ago. The deposits are mined and crushed to a fine powder before the pyrethrum is added. The molecular structure of the diatoms punctures the insects outer body allowing the pyrethrum to penetrate and kill it. The powder also ruptures the skin causing the insect to dehydrate.

Flowers & Vegetables

Dust the ground between the plants and undersides of leaves. Remember, any area not dusted is not protected

Apple Trees

A fine coverage over fruit will prevent infestation by codling moth. The powder residue may discolour fruit slightly and should be wahsed off after harvest.

Trees & Shrubs

To reduce product loss to rain, dust lightly beneath leaves wherever insects are found.

Outside the House

A coating around any area where flies and ants congregate will give control over them. Blowflies contacting Perma Guard will die later.

Lawn beetles can be treated by diluting half a cup of perma gard in a 9 litre watering can filled with water and applying over the affected area. Then hose in. This is a very safe and effective way of dealing with a large range of troublesome insect problems.

Applicators

A good dust applicator is essential. The puffer pack bottle is adequate for indoors and outdoor potted plants.

Dry Application

The goal is to get coverage over the entire plant, especially under the leaves. For young plants, as little as two pounds per acre may be adequate. For larger plants, 5 lb/acre is probably sufficient. With extra growth, it might be necessary to increase the amount. An examination of the leaves will tell if the leaf bottom is covered.

Wet Application

For large gardens or acreage some may want to use a wet spray apparatus. The purpose is to get a solution that will flow easily through the nozzle and still put the recommended amount of product per acre. It is essential to get coverage on the underside of the leaf.

Mixing Instructions:

* Minimum: 1 tablespoons to 1 litre of water

* Maximum: 500 grams  to 90 litres of water
